The March / April issue ofNorthern Gardenerincludes a profile of Minnesota garden blogger Amy Andrychowicz of theGet Busy Gardening blog . It was fun to meet Amy and see her suburban garden in Chaska . I love the style her vegetable garden is set up , and she inspired me to start a few more annuals from seed this year .
Blogging about your garden has several benefits . First , it ’s a great way to share what you are doing and get wind , to commiserate about thing that do n’t go well and to celebrate those that do . It ’s also an ideal way for someone who is on the computer a lot anyway to keep record about their garden . I ’ve had a personal garden blog , My Northern Garden , since 2007 and it ’s wild to see how too soon or late our Minnesota springs can be . The blog has help me figure out my soil and sun situation better and it ’s permit me to share photograph of plants , which I really enjoy take on . This blog was make in 2012 to share more of the information that the Minnesota State Horticultural Society has . Since then , there have been just shy of 300 Post on this blog and almost 100,000 sojourn . ( Our most popular post ever wasthis oneabout begin a vegetable garden . )
