Decorate A Rustic old Ladder

I have this thing for ladders .   I do n’t have sex why but every time I see one in a photo I am drawn to it . There are some really fun and unique direction of using them out there . I have a few ladders around here that I have used in various ways alfresco . Like the fling together bird bath that the deer think is their very own drinking trough to sip from after they have wipe out my Mums . I have used tall ones as an dagger for my climbing rose … I love the chippy white pigment , that is original to the run . Probably full of lead but since I do n’t have it inside I am not upset about it . This next run I have had for a longsighted time and I have been meaning to use it for something . Then I spotted my neighbour had one on her back deck and it held whatever is blooming at the moment , she has been changing it with the seasons and I love looking over at it . So I decided to do mine up . I had all these short pumpkins that grow for me and I suppose they would look great stack on the rungs , I did not want too much color to detract from them so I just used the Sweet Potato vines I start from cuttings and pop them into galvanized containers . I did put a twain Dianthus in the bottom pail with some Turkish boxwood for a teensy bit of color . I have long debated with myself whether or not to paint this ladder but I think I am just going to regale it with Tung Oil to conserve the wood and stick with it in its instinctive state for now . What do you cogitate ?   Should I paint it ?   Leave it be ? ? ? ?

I have decoratively painted run before . short dance step ladders are fun all gussied up with roses . I had long ton of fun paint this one . It sold long ago . stark for the Shabby Chic decor many just love.(if you would like to learn to paint rosesCLICK HERE)Now back to my current ladder I am decorating with on the back deck of cards . Here I sum my vintage lampblack with a Coleus in it but the Coleus looks like it is wilt . Actually that is just a cutting sit in a shabu of water to rout . I need to get it potted and bring it in for the winter . Soon theseSweet Potato vinesneed to be bring in in for winter too , they will get zapped if the temp overleap much more at night . I pin a Ladder that was festooned with luminousness shaped like snowflakes . I would get laid to appear out at my deck and Nox and see that . Now to line up those lights . I can see this ladder from my living way , it sits next to myPotting Bench . Here is a shot that includes thePotting Benchmy husband and I built . I still bang it and it has held up excellently thru all sorts of atmospheric condition for the preceding few years . I imagine the ladder would ’ve pop more for you if I had take up photos against a white background but I took it as is , in place , and how we see it daily . If you need to see more ways to beautify a bumpkinly ladder cluck on over to my Pinterest Board . I have collected a few photos of interesting uses of ladders by others .
