contemporaneous garden

Lay two unlike color of zellige tiles in zig - zag patterns , one colour row next to another . Zellige tile are better suitable to hot , dry climates as they are slippy . However , the same shape and colours are available as encaustic tile . Use pebbles of dissimilar colours to create an intricately model route that resembles a kilim stolon ( rug ) .

Tips on non - slip surface
If you live in a cold-blooded , wet climate , prime material for path and terrace that are suitable for your garden environment . Tiles and slabs with highly polished surfaces will become slippy when wet or in snowy experimental condition . Exterior surface materials , whether for path or patios , should have an R10 or R11 slippage paygrade , so confirm this with your supplier . Also check that materials are frost validation .
