From the producer: 25 April 2025
When it looked like we might dip into the mid-30s , I course around to get ready . The next day , I pulled up the simoleons rowcover so the plants would n’t mellow out !
Since we play this game a portion , a few years ago , I followed Trisha ’s example and grommeted the rowcover . Now , I insert works pin through the grommets on the back side , but do n’t anchor the front except in extremely cold weather condition . I overstretch it up and away on warm days . I got some office type clamps at Breed ’s ( no fortune at spot supply places ! ) , but needed more . Plus , they might be a shade small . Greg found just the matter at Harbor Freight . Plastic outpouring clamps , 22 for $ 3.99 ! I ’ll set up them if it ever gets inhuman again .
Before Greg ’s delivery , I used the office clamps on the Satsuma ’s bamboo tipi . I left it assailable at the back bottom so the cats could go in , but I can quickly seal it if lawful risk approaches . As Skip tells us , the enigma is to robe , not wrap up like a ice lolly . Although this look like a popsicle , really , it ’s draped ! I may not even do it next year , but since I recently move the Satsuma , I do n’t want to take a chance .
We also cover the terrace with credit card .
For the door , we made a flap , inset with PVC at the bottom . Last year we instal coat hooks at the top of the patio , so that we can roll up the tizzy and anchor it on warm days .
Since we ’d done all the concentrated body of work last year , and I ’d put the small part and credit card away in groovy old bag and shoved the PVC under the shed , it only took a few hr to set up our miniskirt - nursery and move around all the plants . The dryer vents onto the patio , so we spare laundry for insensate night ! That remind me , if I move the St. Basil into cover , it might last all winter .
I haul out the patio dog bed for the days that elderly Spencer - cat and Chester want to attend out in their tropical sunroom .
Outside , the roses are blooming . They reckon a minute scraggly by the time I got to the television camera , but I spat them for pull in it through such a bad summertime . Here ’s Mutabilis on Amelia ’s fencing
Buff Beauty on the cat cove arbor
Cecile Brunner against the shed
And , my new Valentine !

We did n’t have time to get to this , but here are a few pictures Charles give us of screech bird of Minerva sign of the zodiac . If you have n’t had hazard with them , the deception is to put up a born branch or one you attach yourself as a safe “ practice stain ” for fledgeling .
On our video go , we celebrate thanks to haveGreen Corn Project’shard - working volunteers who bring in constitutional food to anyone who needs it .
