We feature Lola ’s enceinte wall and pond yesterday , but today we see a view of a different part of her place , the arbor that signals the conversion between her yard and the wilder area beyond .
Lola says,“The round bed in front of the mandrel came first . I saw something standardised in a magazine and I built it with John Rock from our attribute . I tried dissimilar plants but the passel in the foreground and the lamb ’s ear behind it took over and they look fairly together . Then came the logic gate . primitively I wanted a ruby Japanese Shinto gate , but I love that blue and choose it alternatively . I stain it with watered - down outside latex paint pigment so that it would not flake off . It still look good after two years . The gate leads to the back of the place and my husband always mows a itinerary going through it . The hombre tend to expend it when they go out wandering . ”
Simple and beautiful . Thanks again , Lola ! * * the second photo is of a house painting that Lola created of this area . Again , beautiful ! * *
