Sempervivum pittoniiis a lowly succulent that grade subgloboserosettesof light-green , obtusely hirsute , tightly packed leaves with saturnine royal or reddish - brown tips . The rosettes can reach up to 2 inches ( 5 cm ) in diam and produceoffsetsonstolonsthat can grow up to 1.2 inches ( 3 cm ) long , forge obtuse tuft . The leave areoblong – spatulatetolanceolate – obovate , measuring up to 1 inch ( 2.5 cm ) farseeing and 0.3 column inch ( 0.7 cm ) wide .
The flowers are mavin - shaped , 9 to 12 - merous , with wholly green - yellowpetals , pallid yellowfilaments , and yellowanthers .
