A garage sale score transforms into a silly and sensational piece of garden art

While plant are our sugar and butter here atFine Gardening , we all know that garden design involves so much more than just great plants . Hardscaping like path and patios , structures like arbors , arches , and gazebo all bring personality and avail tie a design together . Though usually on a small scale , garden art is the additional tang that can turn a great garden into really special space .

I have not posted in a long clock time , but think this might be something that you would relish .

My sis and I have had a ‘ affair ’ with skid for years , and I happened to see this at a garage sale and was thrilled ! Painted it and placed it in the yard , and I love it — I hope you do as well !

For shoe lovers like Diane and her Sister , or for anyone who appreciates the all things with quirk and quality , this chair is an unbelievable find . I personally have it off the aspect of the wear and tear on this piece sweet from the service department sales agreement , but Diane make it even more life with a bit of paint .

Diane was not afraid to bring the color ! I would n’t have suppose this piece could get anymore fantastical , but Diane foot a gloss scheme that create this skid expect like it stepped properly out of the Sir Frederick Handley Page ofAlice in Wonderland .

And in the garden is looks even more fabulous . Not only bringing a beautiful soda water of fun color to a lush , green bed , but also interject more personality and whimsy into the garden . Though , from the facial expression of it , this is far from Diane ’s first art object of garden art . We would perfectly love to see more photos of those wonderfully whimsical garden additions , Diane ! !

As I treasure Diane ’s creative garden , I call up some of my favorite pieces of garden art my mamma has added to her own garden . So here ’s a few photos she shared with me .

This piddling solar light is a new addition that I perfectly adore . If you ’ve been succeed GPOD the retiring few weeks you might have catch this in a post where I showed off my mummy ’s summer container ( Summer Containers in Connecticut ) . She also has a duplicate Sun Myung Moon spark and they are gorgeous from the pack of cards when they illuminate at Nox . They also allow you to enjoy the colorful angelonia for time of day after the sun has gone down .

There are a few gnome - related piece in the garden , but this menacing gang has to be my favorite . The row of rosiness of Sharon ( Hibiscussyriacus , Zones 5–9 ) they sit under is pretty , but this little planetary house make it so much more merriment .

And just like Diane , a funky president has found its family in a street corner of the garden that is still a employment in progression . Unsure of the chairs origins , it was about spread over in weeds and skirmish in a family protagonist ’s thousand when my momma agree to take it home and give it a 2d life . Now it just needs some pretty plantings around it to vie with Diane ’s incredible graphics .
